
7.1 ORDINATION AND LICENSING. Licensing and ordination in this ministry are means of recognizing the persons gifted to equip others as described in Ephesians 4:11-13. Persons called as apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers will receive credentials granting them the right to participate in the traditional sacramental and ordinal functions of the church such as marriage, funerals, baptisms, and the like. They shall also be expected to function in the spiritual giftings of their office and to demonstrate the reality of their calling.
7.1.1 LICENSING. A license is given to confer legal authority to function as an equipping minister during a time of testing to see if this is a long term call for the person being licensed. A candidate shall meet the requirements established by the Board of Directors and the policies of the Fellowship of Ministers.
7.1.2 ORDINATION. Ordination is public recognition of a God-issued call to one or more of the equipping ministries and, by laying on of hands, to confer to one a long-term authority to function as an equipping minister. A candidate shall meet the requirements established by the Board of Directors and the policies of the Fellowship of Ministers.
7.1.3 REVIEW. Those licensed and ordained by this ministry shall be subject to review annually by the committee designated to administer the Fellowship of Ministers. Any minister’s ordination shall be automatically renewed unless revoked at the discretion of the Committee. The license of any equipping minister shall automatically expire at the end of the year of issuance unless affirmatively renewed by the Committee.
7.1.4 REVOCATION. The license and/or ordination of any equipping minister licensed or ordained by this ministry may be revoked at any time at the discretion of the Committee as defined in the policies of the Fellowship of Ministers.
